Open House is a Christian charity organisation that has been serving the community for 50 years. The team at Open House are deeply committed to a friendship-based model, with outreach to the disadvantaged and marginalised in our community. This is a position for people interested in assisting the Site Manager; working in a team to maintain and improve the facilities at Open House.

We are looking for people with trade skills who are punctual, consistent, who enjoy sharing in a positive environment and role-modelling positive values. The  position  will be based  at our  Macleod premises . 

 Responsibilities: 

Carry out basic Carpentry.  

Carry out basic maintenance.   

Carry out basic painting. 

Inspect the site for required maintenance. 

Inspect the site for OHS hazards. 

Assist with basic errands to and from Hardware Stores.   

Repair,  build and  construct  things.  

Landscape and manual work.  

Using battery tool and hand tools.  

Understanding of Safe Working Methods and OH&S requirements related to tasks. 

Essential Skills: 

Basic knowledge of OHS Standards and Practices 

Ability to follow instructions and basic checklists 

Have a high level of attention to detail 

Proficiency in the use of tools (hand and powered)
