Blue Care - Live life your way. For more than 65 years Blue Care has been committed to empowering you to live life your way. Today, our people make more than three million visits to Queenslanders each year, providing the same holistic care, service and companionship that’s been our hallmark since the very beginning. We put our customers and their loved ones first, and this focus on individuals has helped us become one of Queensland’s largest and most trusted providers of in-home care, residential aged care, disability services and independent and supported retirement living.

This volunteer opportunity will help the maintenance team on the day to day repair and maintenance of our aged care facility, ensuring a safe home for our residents.

At Redcliffe Aged Care Facility we have 96 wonderful residents and 120 caring staff which makes up for our lovely community. Your duty as a handyman is to assist our maintenance team in day to day repair or maintenance requests of our residents. You will also assist us to maintain the safety of our environment. This role is suited for someone who likes to be active, handy with their hands and likes to tinker. In return, you will go home everyday knowing that you have made a difference (no matter how small) to the lives of our residents.

Redcliffe Aged Care Facility is only 8 years old. The building is quite modern and is on 3 levels. You will be interacting with great people with a surprisingly "offbeat" sense of humor. The people here have had varied and interesting lives. Storytelling is one of the major past times. What is interesting about us is that we give you a challenge every day.
