CareFlight, is an aeromedical charity that has been saving lives, speeding recovery and serving the community for over 35 years. We are committed to being there for the community in their critical moments, providing the highest standard of rapid response critical care. CareFlight is reaching over 7,900 patients each year, through our diverse range of services. Our volunteers are instrumental in making this possible whether it be working in an administrative role or on the front-line with the community.

About this role:

CareFlight is seeking the support of several reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic volunteers to assist the National Community Engagement and Events Team in the execution of community engagement activities and events in 2021. Volunteers will represent CareFlight at various events and fundraising activities around NSW.

Volunteering with CareFlight gives the opportunity to meet new and like-minded people whilst having some fun and supporting the lifesaving work of CareFlight.

The role will be located at various locations throughout NSW however may require the pickup of resources at the Northmead Base, Sydney.

Duties

  • Set up and pack up of events and stalls
  • Interaction with the public, sharing the CareFlight story
  • Raising awareness of CareFlight and their work
  • Representing the CareFlight brand
  • Cash and payment handling
  • General Admin: basic paperwork
  • Merchandise sales
  • Promotion of CareFlight
  • Data acquisition activities, including raffles
  • Other general fundraising activities

The ideal volunteer will have:

  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Be well professional and well presented
  • Willing to wear a CareFlight volunteer shirt or vest
  • Have a positive, can do attitude
  • A strong interest in helping CareFlight to raise funds
  • Be able to work in both a team and independent environment, without direct supervision
  • Have good health with no previous medical conditions which would prevent and/or render you as unfit to volunteer.
  • Be aged 16 years or over

The following would be advantageous

  • Have a current driver’s licence
  • Be able to tow a trailer, using a company vehicle
