The Hobart Football Club (HFC) (‘The Tigers’) are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Treasurer

About the Club

Located centrally, in the heart of Hobart, at the TCA Ground on the Queen’s Domain, the Hobart Football Club (HFC) is a community-based AFL Club, fielding eleven teams from Auskick to Juniors (Boys and Girls), Under 19s, Reserves, Seniors and Master Rules (Over 33s).

Founded in 1944, The ‘Tigers’ have won 10 premierships and have been successful in supporting over 25 players reaching AFL/VFL level. Players such as Triple Brownlow Medallist Ian Stewart, Triple Premiership player Alastair Lynch, Collingwood’s Jeremy Howe and North Melbourne’s Aaron Hall. Following a chequered history at Statewide level the club is well established in the Southern Football League (SFL) and continues with its proud history forged over 76 years.

About the Role and You

You will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of our strategy, and you will use your broad knowledge and experiences to achieve stated objectives – securing the success and viability of our great club, now and into the future.

You will be a key part of a dynamic Board and a valuable contributor to our on-field and off-field success. Your interpersonal skills will be well developed, and your approach easily adapted to ensure desired objectives and outcomes are achieved.

Successful applicants will have a position description designed in consultation with the President and Board - which will identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and align to the HFC’s strategic plan.

Appointments will take effect upon successful appointment to the role. It is intended that a further two-year term will take effect following election at the December 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

All Director positions are taken up on a voluntary basis. The HFC is committed to supporting Directors to undertake relevant professional development opportunities.
