Strategic Marketing and Communication Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and values. E.g. Newsletters, regular updates.
  • Identify key target audiences (donors, volunteers, community members, etc.) and tailor campaigns to effectively engage them.
  • Conduct regular market research and audience analysis to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify new opportunities for outreach. Brand Management
  • Ensure consistent and compelling branding across all communication materials, including print, digital, and social media.
  • Uphold the organization’s brand guidelines and ensure all messaging aligns with the nonprofit’s mission, values, and voice.
  • Develop and promote key messaging to strengthen the organization’s public profile and reputation. Content Creation and Management
  • Write, design, and produce engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, blogs, press releases, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with program staff and other team members to highlight success stories, events, and impact-driven initiatives through compelling storytelling.
  • Manage the organization's website and social media platforms, ensuring up-to-date content and engagement with followers. Media Relations and Publicity
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to secure coverage of the organization's events, programs, and achievements.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to generate publicity.
  • Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews or public appearances for key spokespeople within the organization.

Event Promotion and Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute digital and traditional marketing campaigns to promote fundraising events, awareness initiatives, and other organizational activities.
  • Work closely with the events team to ensure smooth integration of marketing efforts into event planning, including the creation of promotional materials and social media campaigns.
  • Track the success of campaigns, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and adjust strategies accordingly.
