The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with the care and maintenance of the gardens and grounds. The gardens are an integral part of the Museum’s visitor experience and we need you to help to keep them looking beautiful and inviting for our patrons.

You can work at your own pace and just enjoy working outdoors in a lovely environment with a bunch of friendly people.

We have a great team who are welcoming to new people.

Tasks will include:

• Mowing
• Using the whipper snipper
• Weeding and mulching
• Pruning shrubs and trees
• Planting out new garden plants
• Raking leaves
• Small painting jobs
• Maintenance repair jobs

The Abbey Museum provide the necessary gardening tools and equipment. We just need volunteers with a little bit of gardening know how, who enjoy being outdoors and love seeing plants and trees grow and making the environment beautiful.
