Lifeline - Keeping Queenslanders safe. Lifeline is committed to bringing hope to Australians doing it tough. A trusted national charity, we’re driven by the belief that Australian lives lost to suicide can be prevented. In Queensland we deliver our 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Support line through 10 Lifeline centres – providing suicide prevention services with a non-judgemental and compassionate listening ear. Backed by more than 6000 volunteers, our network of 130 Lifeline retail shops sell new, donated and pre-loved goods to help fund our crisis support services. We also export to overseas communities, sell rags to industry and run our Lifeline Bookfest and other events to further support our services and help save lives.

This volunteer opportunity will help to assist in the running of all aspects of a retail shop to directly fund our 24-hour crisis support line. Your volunteering can and will help save lives!

Your energetic contribution of time to assist with donations, shop presentation and point of sale. We invite anyone with a customer first approach to service, to join our volunteer team.

Join our friendly team of staff and volunteers working in a large store with a wide range and processing a high turnover of stock. We are conveniently located in Smithfield.

Tasks involved include: ▪ Customer service ▪ Point of sale transactions ▪ Shop presentation ▪ Stock preparation

Skills Required: ▪ Good communication skills ▪ Customer service or retail experience advantageous but not essential

Shifts available Monday to Friday ◾ Shift Times: 9am - 1pm ◾ Shift Times: 1pm - 5pm ◾ Minimum time commitment of 10-15 hours per Weekly

Shifts available Saturday Morning ◾ Shift Times: 9am - 1pm ◾ Minimum time commitment of 3-4 hours per Weekly
