Community Driver – Community Transport Program
Woden Community Service Ensure safe and comfortable transport of service users between their homes and their destination Demonstrate safe and courteous driving practices at all times Drive within the law at all times Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in an appropriate, clean and roadworthy condition Assist people where necessary to get in and out of the car, into the building, lift, reception area etc Before commencement of their volunteer work, Drivers will be required to provide the Volunteer Coordinator with a current Driver’s Licence and evidence of current registration and insurance for the nominated vehicle(s) Be dependable, reliable and punctual Treat all people with respect, care and dignity Be sensitive to the needs and right of each individual Accept appropriate direction, supervision and feedback Comply with the Transport Policy and all other WCS Policies and Procedures Respect and maintain confidentiality Report all incidents and injuries immediately to the Program Co-ordinator and/or the Volunteer Co-ordinator Refer any issues or concerns regarding the volunteer job to the Program Co-ordinator and/or the Volunteer Co-ordinator Volunteers are actively encouraged to attend job/skills training and personal development opportunities
