KiP is seeking a need a Rainmaker (Grants Officer) to start making it rain! We are a small dynamic team of volunteers who are looking for an enthusiastic Grant Writer to help continue to grow.
This role can be done remotely and the hours are as needed to complete the grants.

ROLE RELATIONSHIPS
You will develop close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Board members
- Committee members
- Donors / Sponsors
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the KiP team in support of our mission, vision and values, your responsibilities are as follows:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of grant funding opportunities in consultation with the CEO / Board
- Identify service areas and organisational needs that are suitable for potential grant funding
- Coordinate the research, authoring, submission, follow up and reporting of grant and other funding opportunities
- Keep up-to-date with prospect research and identify potential major gift donors
- Develop and distribute fundraising resource kits for potential donors
- Participate in the development of annual business plans
- Maintain detailed records of all donor activities
- Partake in the Fundraising sub-committee
SELECTION CRITERIA
The applicant must have industry experience in roles that have included grant writing, fundraising, donor management and/or donor communications. Additionally, the ideal applicant will have:
- Knowledge of the grant donor market for researching and identifying potential grant funding opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling stories for grant proposals
- Sound report and proposal writing skills with attention to detail
- Experience in donor cultivation and relations
- Experience in seeking grants/donations for non DGR organisations
- Strong business acumen
