The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Louise Multicultural Community Centre.

We are looking for volunteers to teach or tutor migrants English skills (including conversation).

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Prepare material for the class
• Teach or tutor migrants English skills (including conversation)
• Maintain basic student records
• Attend training and tutor meetings

Skills and Experience:

• ESL trained tutor, someone who has experience in tutoring or training, ex-teachers, retirees
• A passion to teach and help other to improve a language
• Ability to communicate with good English

Induction and Training:

• A minimum of 3 Sit-in / observation of classes in action
• Meet with Tutors' Representative for one-on-one discussion on material
• Regular tutors' training and discussion in groups
