Web Developer (WordPress)

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is promoting this role on behalf of Kew Community Festival.
The Kew Festival Association will host its annual Kew Festival in March 2022 and pop up events throughout the year. The event showcases Kew’s local attractions, businesses and community organisations. The Festival aims to increase the participation of local residents and families, creating connections within their local neighbourhood.
The Kew Festival Association is seeking a WordPress Developer to support both back-end and front-end development of the Kew Festival's WordPress website.
Key responsibilities:
- end-to-end website development, from design to publishing
- creating WordPress themes and plugins
- designing and implementing new features and functionality
- website design (using PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript)
- content management
- conducting website performance testing and troubleshooting content issues
- establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
- conducting Wordpress training with the committee
This role is flexible and project based.
