The Maltese Aged Care Association of South Australia (MACASA) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Cheltenham and was formed in 1994. MACASA provides services to help a diverse range of older people so they can remain in their own homes for as long as they are able.

MACASA is looking for a number of new Volunteer Board Members. We value diversity and are seeking to augment the existing skill base of its current membership to assist MACASA in meeting its strategic objectives and to support growth and development.

The Board meets monthly to: - • Formulate organisational strategy • Oversee organisational accountability and compliance • Monitor the overall organisation’s policy • Ensure effective governance processes are in place • Participate in Board committees (if any are formed)

Board Members are expected to regularly attend meetings and actively contribute to the collective decision-making of the Board to further the interests of MACASA.

Skills required: • An interest and willingness to learn about aged care or community service • Ability to collaborate effectively with others • Expertise in one or more of the following would be helpful: strategic planning and implementation; marketing and sponsorship; fundraising. • Prior experience with a not-for-profit organisation or on a board is highly desirable

Board members must reside in South Australia. More information about the organisation is available on request.

Members of the Maltese community are highly encouraged to apply.
