Lifestyle Assistant Volunteer

- Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Assist in preparation, set up/pack up and participate in various activities
- When required, collect residents to attend functions
- Check equipment, supply needs & ensure materials are ready for the activities
- Participate/assist with lifestyle activities – e.g. walking groups, art, craft, bingo, board games, reading, music, group social functions and 1:1
- Carry out duties as required and be able to work alongside others
- Comfortable interacting with residents - great listening and conversation skills, able to make people feel good about themselves and put a smile on their faces
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be prepared to undertake mandatory training as required including wheelchair training (no lift policy)
- Adhere to WHS requirements, Helping Hand procedure & policies
- Must have or be willing to apply for a National Police Clearance (no cost)
- Must have seasonal influenza vaccination.
