The Receptionist/Admin and Office Assistant role includes duties that support the Administrator to ensure smooth administration and operation of the CareWorks organisation. Experience is preferred as being able to juggle being a friendly receptionist, a diligent money handler then able to drop everything and do the op shop run requires some expertise and flexibility. The role includes reception work, administration duties such as banking and data entry and some marketing like creating brochures and signs. CareWorks is an agency of Churches of Christ in South Australia which delivers programs that meet a variety of needs in the community. We are made up of a team of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds facing challenges in their lives ensuring they are treated with respect and consideration at all times. The organisation responds flexibly and creatively to a range of social issues by providing practical assistance and offering hope and opportunities to all people, to grow towards well-being, wholeness and community. Programs such as;

  • Accommodation for patients and their carers travelling from rural and remote areas for medical treatment in Adelaide,
  • Support of Domestic Violence shelters by way of gifts and food hampers at Christmas time,
