As a retail volunteer, you will play a central role in the operations of the shop, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society. Many of our stores trade 7 days a week, so as little as 4 hours a week could make a huge impact.

Our retail volunteers perform a variety of tasks including:

• Providing customers with an excellent shopping experience
• Sorting and pricing donations
• Assisting with product displays
• Processing sales through the point-of-sale cash register
• Keeping the store and sorting area tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices.

The volunteers we are seeking will ideally:

• Be able to volunteer your valuable time in our Redbank Plains retail store on weekday afternoons from 12pm and Saturdays 10-2pm (even one day a week would help us immensely!)
• Be a people person - welcoming, helpful, friendly, approachable and positive
• Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
• Be respectful to others and flexible in their attitude to work and be a part of a team
• Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.

No experience is needed as training is provided.
