A volunteer biographer will make a time with client, using a voice recorder will capture the things the client wants to include in the biography. On average it takes about 6 sessions but this can vary according the individual. After each session the volunteer will type up the recording and they will have a chance to review the manuscript from the previous session before continuing. Changes deletions and corrections can be made at this point. Treasured photos, artwork, poems, song lyrics or other things can be included in the biography.

This role would be ideal for people who enjoy writing, journalism etc. You will need to have computer skills, ability to edit document, good attending and listening skills, and a person with great respect.

The volunteer will need their own transport as many of these interviews will be done in the homes of the patients.

As many of the stories will be done in the home of the client, the volunteer will need to be willing to travel to these locations. Minimum age 25 years.
