Volunteering at HammondCare is a great experience for you, and a great way to make a difference for people in need.

Spend time as a hairdresser assistant at HammondCare in Waratah. You'll love this opportunity to talk to people and arrange for residents to be brought to their hair appointment. If you like conversation and companionship and would love to brighten up the day for an elderly resident, we’d like to chat with you. You may also be asked to assist residents between the salon and their cottage.

The time commitment is every Monday 9am to 4pm for 12 months or longer.

You’ll find that as you meet new people and make new friends, you’ll gain personal satisfaction and have fun.  HammondCare is located at 15 Tinonee Rd, Waratah and we'll provide training as well as ongoing support.

Due to Covid19 criteria, you'll need to be aged between 16 and 79 years old and provide proof of your flu vaccination in 2020 - or be willing to have the vaccination prior to starting. You may be asked to wear a face mask, as directed.
