TAFE NSW Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) - ONLINE Volunteer English Tutor
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) helps people learn English. It provides unlimited hours of free English lessons and childcare to eligible migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants. AMEP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs. The program supports the development of knowledge and skills that significantly improves the lives of students by providing pathways to greater social participation, employment, further study, and training.

How much time do I need to dedicate?
When volunteers join the program, they make a six-month commitment to meet with their student, for at least one hour per week.
What experience do I need?
No previous experience is needed. Just a desire to help new migrants and refugees gain confidence in speaking and listening to English.
As an AMEP volunteer tutor, you will receive training with a short online self-paced course, then access to resources and further support such as workshops run by AMEP teachers.
