Our low vision client requires a reading volunteer to help him keep up to date and hear what is on the written page. This may involve reading the newspaper and having some conversations while having a coffee. You do not need any previous experience, just a willingness to make a difference in your community.

Reading to a low vision person is a great way for individuals to organise life, get a better understanding of the world and reduce the risk of social isolation. Our client would like to get out and about, if you have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle you could grab a newspaper and coffee in town. While this is not essential, getting out could add to the volunteer experience.

Vision Australia strives to assist our clients live the life they choose. The role is extremely flexible and only requires a little spare time each week to assist our client.
