Masonic Charity Outlet
Logo for Masonic Charity Outlet

Masonic Charity Outlet (MCO) is not your typical Op Shop. With a focus on quality recycled and donated products displayed in a contemporary shopping environment our stores aim to provide an enjoyable shopping experience at a fraction of the price.

Proceeds from MCO go directly to the Masonic Foundation to allow us to grow our support for West Australian Communities, Charities and Individuals; including the Fiona Wood Foundation, the West Australian Young Achiever Awards, UN Youth Australia, Men’s Shed WA, 16th Battalion Foundation, Variety WA, Camp Quality to name a few, as well as operating the Annual Masonic Education Grants and the Speak Up competition each year.

MCO is currently seeking volunteers who are interested in making a difference in the WA community, providing customers with a great shopping experience and assisting in other aspects of MCO retail.

The MCO Donation Sorter role involves:

  • Sorting donated merchandise into categories
  • Preparation of donations for sale by steaming, cleaning, tagging and pricing donations
  • Assisting in keeping the sorting area, merchandise and fixtures clean
  • Other duties as directed

Volunteers are required to complete the following: • Volunteer application form • Volunteer induction • Code of conduct agreement • Satisfactory reference check

What you can expect from this volunteer engagement experience: • Retail experience, enhancing future career prospects • Working for an organisation that makes a difference within the WA community • Opportunity to acquire new skills, build friendships and interact with like-minded individuals • Opportunity to obtain a professional reference
