The Program The Red Cross ACT Roadhouse provides free meals, support and referral to homeless and disadvantaged people six days a week.

The Opportunity Red Cross is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to make a difference in the lives of those effected by homelessness and mental illness.

By joining the team you'll get the opportunity to: • Provide meals and social contact and support to patrons • Learn valuable food handling skills • Work with a team of committed volunteers • Share your skills and experience with others

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and have a Working With Vulnerable People Card. The physical ability to set up tables and chairs and lift up to 10 kg would be highly desired.

The Impact Volunteers help provide homeless and disadvantaged people with a hot, nutritious meal, that contributes to their physical and mental wellbeing

Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
