The Melbourne Mustangs Ice Hockey Club is a volunteer run not for profit sporting club competing in the highest league in the country, The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). We train and play home games at the Icehouse at Docklands and travel to most capital cities around Australia. Since inception in 2010 the club has steadily grown in competitiveness, profile and fan base. This year the club is poised to be a serious contender for the finals while at the same time fulfilling its promise to the community and keeping faith with its core values. We are seeking a creative, energetic individual with marketing expertise to take a key role on our Marketing and Communication department. In this senior role you will be directly assisting us in developing an effective marketing and communication strategy for the club creating exceptional community engagement opportunities and nurturing relationships with supporters.

Requirements: • Relevant experience in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations • Proven ability to develop effective marketing and communications strategies • Excellent communication and networking skills • Be flexible, open-minded, tolerant and appreciate the intricacies of working in a not for profit origination. • Work well independently and as part of a small team of staff and volunteers
