Transitions Film Festival is a social and environmental impact film festival aimed at using the power of documentaries to make the world a better place.

The next Transitions Film Festival program will take place virtually in late February.

We are on the hunt for a talented Social Media officer who can help increase engagement across all social channels. You will primarily be the festival's online 'social butterfly' commenting, liking, questioning and inviting - you will build, activate and inspire a community of passionate and dedicated change makers. The majority of visual social content will be created by Graphics Designers and Marketing Officers, but you may be required to create ad-hoc content on an as-needed basis.

Tasks may include:

• Following the Festival’s brand and style guidelines to create compelling social media content • Operate social media campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn. • Contribute to and utilise the TFF content calendar • Identify and monitor influencers and build relationships with festival advocates • Manage our online community by monitoring, listening and responding to users in a “Social” way • Consistently find ways to boost the popularity of the TFF website, blogs and campaigns to increase user activity and monitor this through analytics • Schedule content strategically across social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more to inspire and inform our audience

YOUR TALENT, PASSION AND SKILLS

Essential:

• Knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants • Excellent writing and language skills • Media software experience (Hootsuite, tweet deck) • Passion for sustainability and social impact • Reliability and commitment • Self motivating and comfortable working remotely

Highly Regarded:

• Experience with and access to photo editing software (eg Photoshop, Canva) • Ability to analyse social data, find patterns and adjust content accordingly • Passion for sustainability, building community and inspiring people with stories and ideas that will lead to a better future for all. • Passion and engagement for cutting-edge ideas across a large variety of areas including environment, social justice, technological innovation, health and wellness, music art and film and ethical food and fashion. • Ideally you will be looking to develop a career on social media marketing for good and will use this experience to help you on your journey. • You read social media posts, blogs and online magazines about social and environmental impact • You already have a large network of influencers and change makers who are active online
