Mini-bus driver volunteer in Wahroonga

With your assistance as a volunteer mini-bus driver, elderly residents from HammondCare Wahroonga will enjoy short outings in the local community. You will be accompanied by one of our care staff who will look after the residents care needs.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia and aged care. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. HammondCare is located at 3-9 Woonona Ave, Wahroonga.

Time commitment

There are several different opportunities available and we would be happy to discuss suitable options with you

  • 10 am - 12pm or 3pm –5pm
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon or Saturdays

Role requirements

As the bus is a 10 seater, anyone with a current Australian drivers license and five years good driving history can volunteer. We will provide training on driving the bus as well as orientation and ongoing support from an on-site Volunteer Coordinator.

You'll be required to show proof of their current drivers license, Covid19 vaccination evidence, and complete a national police check which we'll organise and pay for. You'll also need to complete the NDIS Worker Screening Check and provide proof of your flu vaccination.
