Citizen Advocacy Launceston Region Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Management.

As a not-for-profit, community-based organization, we are committed to recognizing, promoting, and protecting the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. Our mission is to foster meaningful, freely-given relationships between caring community members and individuals with intellectual disabilities who may feel vulnerable, isolated, or in need of advocacy.

As a Board member, you will help guide our program and ensure we continue making a positive impact.

We’re seeking a board member who is passionate about social justice, well-connected in the community, and committed to advancing the rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disability—especially those experiencing social isolation. If you believe everyone deserves a voice and a place to belong, we’d love to hear from you. We are also looking for people who:

• Are eager to share their skills, connections, and expertise;
• Have Board of Management experience;
• Can attend monthly Board meetings and contribute to subcommittees or events as needed;
• Stay informed about the program by reviewing minutes, reports, and financials, with an understanding of our constitution;
• Are excited to promote Citizen Advocacy within the community and spread the word among family, friends, colleagues, and contacts.

Board Members must not be directly employed in disability services, to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
