CDS is a non-profit organisation operating since 1997. Our mission is to create and disseminate knowledge, evidence and practice to improve the lives of people with intellectual disability. Our focus is on designing and developing research, teaching and workforce development initiatives, and clinical practice that informs ID policy and practice. CDS holds a Research Affiliation with the School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. We offer research, evaluation and expertise working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including people with disability, non-government organisations, governments, and family members. Our work is guided by the lived experience of people with intellectual disability. We strive to meaningfully engage people with intellectual disability in the creation, development, and execution of our programs.
