Chatloop helps people with refugee backgrounds to learn English by connecting them with volunteer conversation partners on the Chatloop messaging app. An English learner and conversation partner meet on the app in a chat group where they do a communication practice activity together, sending just a few text messages each day for a week or so. This gives the learner regular, authentic English practice and giving the volunteer a convenient opportunity to help someone build a new life in Australia.
