The LSW VFES is a new unit built on the initiative of incorporating all the LSW support teams together under one banner. The LSW VFES currently includes 6 teams - ICV team, WebEOC team, Mitigation Team, Peer Support Officers, All Hazard Facilitators and Volunteer Welfare and Resource Officers. The LSW VFES aims to recruit more regional volunteers into each of the 6 teams to strengthen the regions capabilities to support our dedicated front line volunteers. The LSW VFES provides new and existing volunteers with a diverse range of skill sets, with the opportunity to volunteer in the prevention, preparedness, response and recovery activities to help protect our local communities.
