CatholicCare Social Service Hunter Manning is the official social services agency of the Diocese of Maitland - Newcastle. We are a registered no-for-profit, who has worked with the whole community to deliver support services and programs that meet the needs of children, young people, individuals and families for over 60 years. Across the Hunter - Manning, our work is a combination of government and fee-for-service. We are people focused and walk alongside those in our community who need a bit of extra support to achieve their goals and live safe and well. The foundation of our work is to strive for a world where people are fed, housed, safe, healthy and happy, and have positive relationships in their community. CatholicCare is an inclusive organisation committed to helping everyone in need across communities, regardless of religion, age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or disability. Being responsive to local needs is at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves in our on-the-ground knowledge and building valuable connections for the people we support in every community across the Diocese. Our multi-disciplinary support services come under 4 broad areas: Community Programs including Community Kitchen, Hunter-based BBQ food trailer and Refugee Hub; Counselling and Clinical Services including The Rosewood Centre and GambleAware counselling; Child, Youth and Family Services including Foster Care, Brighter Futures, Early Intervention Program, Supported Independent Living and After Care; and, Community Housing.
