During springtime, many suburbs of Perth, both north and south of the Swan river are awash with Jacarandas flowers but none rival those of the suburb of Applecross, south of the river, So spectacular is the display, that the annual Jacaranda Festival is held in Applecross in November of each year. It is a fun day of festivities amongst the lovely setting of the Jacarandas in Applecross Village.
