Hoddles Creek Volunteer Fire Brigade (CFA)
Since its creation in 1946 the Hoddles Creek Volunteer Fire Brigade have been actively supporting and protecting the Hoddles Creek community and its surrounding areas turning out to some 40 incidents a year, including motor vehicle accidents, search and rescue, storm damage and fires, small and large. In more recent years the brigade has also been providing a catering service at significant emergency incidents both within the Yarra Valley & surrounding areas. But none of this can be done without men and women volunteering to become part of one of the largest volunteer networks in Australia, the CFA. So if you have thought about becoming a volunteer and are aged 16 years or older, male or female, why not join the Hoddles Creek Volunteer Fire Brigade. In becoming a firefighter, you we will receive nationally recognised training in all aspects of fire fighting and get to further your skills in more ways than you think. If going to fires is not your thing, but you still want to be involved, the brigade is also looking for new members to be apart of our catering crew, who provide food at significant emergency incidents, as well as at significant CFA events when required. Junior Brigade membership is also available to girls and boys aged 11 to 16 years of age. The brigade prides itself on being a happy and welcoming group and having a high emphasise on teamwork, camaraderie and being an active and positive part of the Hoddles Creek and surrounding communities and we want YOU to be a part of that, so have a chat to us to see what it’s all about & if it’s something you would like to be a part of.
