It's no walk in the park teaching puppies to become Guide Dogs. It requires boundless energy, care and experience - not to mention a lot of space. That's where the Guide Dogs Centre comes in. This world class facility is located on 25 acres at Glossodia, near Windsor in Sydney's west. The centre features 3 kennel blocks with the ability to accommodate up to 90 dogs, training tracks designed to simulate real-life scenarios the dogs might encounter during their life as Guide Dogs, a veterinary clinic, puppy enrichment areas, award-winning gardens and large grassy spaces for dogs to be, well, dogs! Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is the leading provider of Guide Dogs and orientation and mobility services that enable people with impaired vision to get around their communities safely and independently. By volunteering at the Guide Dogs Centre you will play an important role in restoring the confidence and mobility of people with impaired vision.
