St Jude's Community Visitors Scheme volunteers visit and befriend socially-isolated residents of aged care facilities, and people living in their own homes, in the Brighton / Marion district. Community Visitors are linked with an older person or group of people, and visit weekly (preferably), or fortnightly. Typical visits are for up to an hour, although the duration may vary according to the older person’s wishes or circumstances at the time. St Jude's CVS welcomes volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our current volunteers are in age groups from their 20's to their 80's, and represent several different nationalities and cultures from across the world.
