Do you have a talent in arts and craft and would like to help patients in palliative care?
Your basic sewing machine skills, or willingness to learn, will be useful in this role sewing wildlife rescue pouches and basket liners. Only straight line sewing, and patterns are cut along straight lines. All equipment is provided. Pouches and liners are sewn to specific sizes and designs and are given to local wildlife carers as needed. Timing is flexible - between 8am and 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Do you like interacting with young children and be involved in various activities?
We are seeking caring, compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to be trained as Carer Support volunteers at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, to assist parents and carers whilst their children are in hospital.
