The Op Shop provides the local community with affordable, clean clothing, shoes, books and household goods in a friendly and welcoming environment and provides information about other SCC programs and services. The Assistant role provides an opportunity to gain work experience in retail or meet Centrelink requirements as well as meeting new people and working in a community environment. The activities of this role include serving customers, receiving, sorting and pricing goods, displaying and rotating goods, packaging unsuitable goods for disposal, operating the till, keeping the store clean and tidy and generally helping out as required. You will need to be friendly, honest and reliable, enjoy practical work and learning new skills, work as part of a team, have good personal hygiene ad willing to abide by the required dress code.
