Please Note: Despite the situation with COVID-19 in Australia, we are now, more than ever, in need of volunteers to ensure we can continue to deliver meals to the most vulnerable in our community. We are following advice from the health authorities and all volunteers and staff are following our standard food safety procedures, good hand hygiene and as an extra precaution are using hand sanitising gel between each home they visit. We have also asked our volunteers to practise social distancing recommendations (where possible) when delivering meals. So, if you would like to know more about this opportunity, please continue to read on below and express your interest by hitting the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.

A much loved not for profit organisation is in need of Volunteers to assist in their kitchen. This local organisation provides meals, personal contact and security to elderly, housebound and disabled members of the community and their carers, through its Branch Volunteers. Volunteers are crucial to the operation of this community service.

The Kitchen Volunteer role revolves around meal preparation, before, during and after the process. Tasks include assisting the Cook, plating up meals, washing up and general kitchen cleaning. All the fun in the kitchen takes place between 7am and 11am each weekday, and Volunteering with this Organisation is sure to be a fun and enjoyable experience.

If you would like to join a team of special, like-minded people, that provide an important service to their community, we would love to hear from you!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
