Do you believe that people with intellectual disability should live in an inclusive community where everyone has the same opportunities to participate in community life? Are you friendly and reliable? If you answered yes, then please join us and become a leisure buddy volunteer. Make a new friend and spend leisure time with an active young lady with a disability. If you also enjoy walking, festivals, music and dogs then this is the buddy for you! The two of you will meet weekly or fortnightly to do a fun activity of your choice together. An information session, ongoing support and training are provided. Volunteers must be aged 18 plus and a 12 month minimum commitment is requested. Professional referee checks & Police Check are conducted before becoming a volunteer.
