Volunteer with passion and purpose with HammondCare, an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care.
We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with people in their own homes. You may want to spend some time in the garden, play cards, listen to music or do some arts and craft activities. Or perhaps go to a local coffee shop.
HammondCare At Home help people across the Illawarra and South Coast, so we’ll work to match you with someone with similar interests in your local community. Spend one hour per week for 12 months or longer, with someone who may be lonely or socially isolated in the suburbs of Balgownie, Barrack Heights, Berry, Bellambi, Cordeaux Heights, Corrimal, Jamberoo, Kiama, Nowra, Shellharbour, Unanderra and Woonona.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for.
During the Covid19 Pandemic, we're seeking people who are aged between 21 - 79 and have a current flu vaccination certificate (or be willing to have the vaccination prior to your first visit).
When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.
You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
