The role of the Team Support Officer is to effectively communicate and co-ordinate with team members to ensure that adequate coverage is provided to efficiently run our Wednesday fortnightly service. This role will also be required to work within the team to help provide an evening meal to the residents of the men's shelter and the companions of Fred's Van.

Our kitchen is modern and fully operational with commercial appliances. General kitchen duties will include but are not limited to:

• food preparation
• supporting the cook
• service of the meal and clearing away after the meal

The St Vincent De Paul Vincentian Centre is the only Men’s Crisis Accommodation Service in Adelaide that provides crisis accommodation, meals and support services to homeless and vulnerable men to meet their immediate needs and to help them towards sustainable independent living, in a caring, supportive and respectful way.

Fred's Van provides comfort and a warm, free nutritious meal for those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness and marginalisation.

Our Wednesday service has combined providing a meal to the companions of Fred's Van along side the residents of the Men's Crisis Centre, bringing them inside to a more dignified environment to partake in an evening meal. Resulting in close to 100 meals being served over the course of the evening.
