Complementary Touch Based Reflexology Therapist - Midland

    This supportive care program will operate at the Hills Hub at Midland weekly or fortnightly, from Tuesday to Thursday, for a minimum of 2 hours per week or 4 hours per fortnight. Hours are negotiable depending on demand and therapists’ availability

  • Requirements
    • National Police Certificate *

    Certificate IV Reflexology or Certificate IV Clinical Reflexology or higher
    Be eligible to be a practitioner member of a Reflexology or Complementary Therapy Association that has a code of conduct, ethics and disciplines for 12 months or more.
    50 hours of Reflexology experience (documented or completion of a
    statutory declaration)

Cancer Council's Complementary Therapy program offers a range of therapies to people affected by cancer, acknowledging the parameters of safely working with this vulnerable group of people, and adhering to the safe practices/codes of conduct as prescribed by Cancer Council.

As a Complementary Therapist with Cancer Council, you can make a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.

Main responsibilities: Administer Reflexology therapy to cancer patients and carers to promote relaxation and improve quality of life Be conversant with Cancer Council Complementary Touch Based Therapy policy, guidelines and relevant protocol (provided) and deliver chosen complementary therapy within this framework Be part of a friendly and productive team supporting people affected by cancer in the Midland area Complete consent and medical history client forms Respect client confidentiality Complete reporting documents Maintain regular contact with and provide feedback to supervisor Report concerns regarding client suitability or condition
