Street Mission is a charity operating two cafes for the homeless and disadvantaged in Sydney’s Northern Beaches region, and serve an estimated 300 meals a month using a 100% volunteer workforce.

The Café Coordinator supports Street Mission’s Balgowlah café by:

  • arranging volunteer trial nights,
  • preparing monthly rosters and weekly reminder emails to Café Supervisors and volunteers,
  • liaising with volunteers and working with the Volunteer Coordinator to manage risks and resolve any volunteer issues.

Street Mission is seeking a responsible and committed volunteer available on a weekly basis. The Café Coordinator role can be performed from home and would require approximately 3-4 hours per week. The role is flexible and can be completed at any time around other commitments and responsibilities.

The Café Coordinator role would suit a volunteer with computer and telephone access and requires someone with strong organisation skills. You will engage with other volunteers and prospective volunteers, interact with new people from all walks of life, develop your management and organisation skills, and be a part of a close-knit team assisting the homeless and disadvantaged in our community.
