Fancy a day on the coast, in the bushland or in one of Perth's many parks? Come and join our team and get involved in fun, practical conservation activities such as planting native species, mulching, seed collecting, flora surveys, track work, fencing, marine debris collections and much much more!

Get your hands dirty and learn about the environment all at the same time by volunteering with us whenever suits you.

We have volunteering opportunities all over the Perth Metropolitan area, with at least one local Perth project running from Monday to Friday every week of the year and weekend opportunities throughout each month. Join us for a day or two or for an entire week!

We welcome anybody with a love of the environment and a general level of fitness. No previous experience is required.

Simply wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes and a wide brimmed hat. Bring along your lunch and a water bottle and we provide all the tools and safety equipment for the day.

Your team leader will demonstrate the correct technique to use the hand tools and will provide a safety and project brief.

Our free lift from Fremantle leaves at 8am and returns at 3pm, or you can meet the team on site at 9am.

Requirements: We welcome anybody with a love of the environment and a general level of fitness who fancies getting their hands dirty and getting back to nature! You do not require any skills, training or experience our qualified Team Leader will provide safety and task demonstrations on the day. All you need is an enjoyment of the outdoors, a willingness to participate as part of the team!

You can need to be between 7 and 80 years of age to volunteer with us; however, children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

We do our best to accommodate and assign tasks accordingly to differing physical abilities, but our projects sites often have uneven ground, trip hazards and slopes to navigate and a general level of fitness is required. Please contact us if you're unsure if this opportunity would suit you.

Please note this position is advertised by the City of Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre on behalf of the organisation above.
