Helping Hand Aged Care Lightsview is currently seeking a musically gifted volunteer who is willing to share their time, abilities and talents to assist with running group sing-a-longs and music-based activities.

Time required

Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm (Days/Time negotiable). Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role be a maximum of 15-16 hours per week. NOTE: Other activities/roles may/can be undertaken as a joint function of this position

Requirements

National Police Certificate
Working with Children Check

* Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality * Play a musical instrument * Good clear communication skills * Have a fun personality * Volunteers must be punctual and reliable, have a friendly positive attitude towards other team members and enjoy working with the elderly, frail and cognitive impaired. * Attend any mandatory training sessions as required * Have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check (at no cost) * Abide by all policies and procedures and OH&S protocol * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
