Social Support Volunteer - Outings

The role of the volunteer is to actively contribute to clients and programs, under the professional direction and guidance of the Social Support Team.

The Social Support team aims to assist clients participate in community life through meeting their need for social contact and accompaniment. Our Social Outings are a relaxed activity where clients, staff and volunteers chat together, reminisce about old-time and swap stories whilst getting out and about in the community visiting locations such as parks, museums, galleries, local clubs and shopping centres.

****This role requires volunteers to be physically fit and be able to manoeuvre in and out of the minibus to assist clients.

Outings start and finish at our office located within walking distance to Ashfield Station/Mall.****

Having good social connections are essential for all aspects of health and well-being especially as we age. Inner West Neighbour Aid has been providing services in our local community for over 25 years and have created a community where seniors connect and share their knowledge to lead active, social and independent lives.
