The BBQ is stationed next to the canteen and is the main food distribution point.

Volunteers are not required to handle money.

Duties:

• Serve food items • Cook meat and eggs • Set up BBQ’s and table • Assist with cleaning up in general throughout the day and clean up at the end of the day

Skills:

• Good Communication Skills • Must be organised • Must have the ability to multi-task

Requirements:

• May require standing for long periods of time • Some lifting may be required • Must wear latex gloves when handling food • Must undertake a Working with Children’s Check • Must Undertake a National Police Check

Health and Safety:

Volunteers who are handling food must wear latex gloves at all times. If your gloves become contaminated, you must change them before returning to any food handling activities. You will be required to change your gloves if you become in contact with any potentially contaminated surface such as garbage. If you consume food, remove your gloves and put on fresh ones before returning to any food handling.
