To Volunteer With St. Carthage's Community Care is to become a part of a dynamic family - a family dedicated to enriching the lives of others. The value of volunteers within St. Carthage's is immense and irreplaceable, and we will reap the rewards of your time, knowledge, energy, skills and life experiences. Our Volunteers are a rich source of inspiration and stimulation, providing our client with friendship, fun and companionship. At St. Carthage's we encourage you to use your personal skills and interests in the facilitation of our programs and the assistance of our members. Perhaps you love cooking or have an interest in arts or craft? or maybe you have skills in tinkering and construction or other manly pursuits? Our day club would be a great environment for you to nurture others and impart your knowledge. Alternatively if you enjoy creating personal relationships, volunteering in our social network will give you the opportunity to connect with people and create lasting and meaningful relationships. At our day club we run daily games and activities, quizzes and individual programs as well as providing a home cooked morning tea and meal for lunch. Once a month we travel to other areas within our region and experience new or familiar places and restaurants. Our day club operates between 10am to 2pm and we may require your time before or after these hours for assistance with transport. We provide training as required by you or training in things that may develop an interest in. The value of Volunteers within St Carthage's is immense and irreplaceable. It is ultimately about supporting people and having positive and long lasting impact on their wellbeing.
