The Brain Bank project aims to increase refugee and migrant communities self-sufficiency and to help them foster community links. The aims are to work within a volunteer model that expands networks of the communities we work with. The project provides support both for refugee community groups as well as individuals from refugee backgrounds to access support with specific tasks.

We are looking for mentors who:

  • are willing to volunteer their time in Hume and Whittlesea
  • Can commit for at least 6 months with at least 1 hour per fortnight
  • have skills, knowledge and experience to share
  • are looking for a rewarding experience
  • have experience or keen working with CALD and marginalised communities
