The volunteer will visit the client in their home on a fortnightly basis for approximately 1-2 hours and they will be matched according to common interests and location.

Requirements

Working with Children Check

The volunteer will need to complete a Working With Children Check and Disability Services Employment Screening which are free for volunteers. They will also need to complete our elearning - Work, Health and Safety, Privacy and Confidentiality and Protecting Children and Vulnerable adults and do Orientation. Please Note: * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role be a maximum of 15-16 hours per week.
