e.motion21’s business model relies heavily on volunteers. With approximately 5 FTE staff and over 250 volunteers; our volunteers are critical for us to be able to help our dancer’s who have Down syndrome shine!

We are seeking volunteers to assist for 1-2 hours weekly/fortnighty during school term at our dance classes for primary, teens or adults at the fabulous Watermarc facility or the Uniting Church Hall in Pascoe Vale.

The role of our dance class support volunteers is to help our dancers fully participate in their classes by role modelling what the dance teacher’s movement’s and instructions are.

Similar to a dance teacher assistant but with no formal training required, we are looking for enthusiastic; caring people who respect our participants and are keen to learn!

We will provide full training on the learning strengths of people with Down syndrome so that all volunteers feel confident of their role and are ready to make a contribution in classes or at the event.
