Landcare Conservation volunteers are required to work in the Nursery every Friday from 8am to 2pm and help maintain the environment / tree planting and participate in special projects. You will need some level of physical fitness and an interest in the environment. Help with maintenance at Land Care sites around town - Bush Garden, Turtle Bridge, Lou Litster and Mundy Creek. (Local urban conservation sites to increase bio-diversity of flora and fauna) Volunteers will have opportunities to collect seeds, plant trees, grow trees. You will gain skills in plant propagation, use of brush cutters, self propelled mower, whipper snippers, and in the future chain saws (you will need a certificate to operate). Must be willing to work as part of a team. Younger volunteers are welcome with parental supervision.
